(More customer reviews)I have this filter. It does the job well. I believe there are only a few filters on the market that actually filter out both free chlorine and combined chlorine. I believe vitamin C filters can handle both as well.
Most municipalities do not use free chlorine in the water anymore since it evaporates too easily. They use combined chlorine. They combine it with ammonia to create chloramine. KDF filters can't filter out chloramine. That's a known fact. The Sprite contains both KDF and their proprietary Chlorgon. Chlorgon takes care of the chloramine. I've actually tested the filtered water with a chlorine/chloramine tester and found no total chlorine in the filtered water.
Regarding the J. Kennedy's review here, where he writes that it doesn't filter out minerals, he's correct. But there aren't shower filters of this size that can effectively filter out minerals during a warm shower. First, the water in a shower is moving too quickly (2.5 gallons/min). And second, carbon filters, which is used to filter minerals, do not filter efficiently in warm water. Why do you think a Brita filter takes so long to filter the water? And Brita tells you to use COLD water. Don't be fooled by other filters. Just buy a chlorine/chloramine or total chlorine tester at the local pet store and check for yourself.

(More customer reviews)This was a replacement for a builder-installed Delta faucet that used the single ball valve. The set looks nice, but I should have realized that the price was too good to offer more than basic water control. Unlike the ball valve it replaced, there is no independent control for pressure, so you set the valve for the right temperature and you get the pressure you get. Also, I'm disappointed with the flow pattern of the tub spigot. That could be an installation issue (I was less than impressed by other aspects of the hired installers work, so it may not be a fair reflection of the product). I have not yet used the show head, as we decided to continue using the one we already had and were happy with, so my comments pertain only to the water control valve and spigot.
I am happy with the finish and appearance of the set. It has an upgraded look to it compared to the original Delta set I had.

Because I needed a hand shower sprayer that I could use in order to accomplish the bathing task, I also needed that shower holder be attached to the shower chair in order to make the task easy. It worked great. The only thing I would change is that I would have ordered it at the time that I ordered the chair. Ordering it separately cost me more shipping and handling.

not a bad faucet -- I have the one in the oil-rubbed-bronze (Tuscan bronze? yeah.) finish, and it does the trick. The three settings aren't really very different, and for people who are used to an old-school Shower Massage showerhead who expect 17 different settings, this will be a disappointment.
Not bad, but there are better. If chrome is your finish of choice, I'd probably look for one with more variety of settings and better water pressure -- even with the flow restrictors out, it's still pretty soft on water pressure.

(More customer reviews)You can change the spray, fine or less fine. Feels like a stronger pressure then regular showerheads. I also bought Whedon DS2C and removed the flow control button and put it on this FP3C. The two together are excellent. I don't use the metal discs right now, but I have before and they help if your pressure is too strong or if you want to conserve water. I have medium high calcium in my water so every 2-4 years I use a safety pin to poke out calcium deposits. I recommend getting a back up if you have high calcium and replace every 7 years, its just depends, if you set the stream at 1 position and never change it then a hard to turn handle won't be an issue, only the stream holes.

(More customer reviews)Nice modern design - streamline look. However, as no shower arm is needed, head screws directly into plumbing fitting behind wall. Be Aware that rough-in MUST be perfectly level (you would normally have some room for error with standard install as shower arm + cover plate would cover any minor offsets). I had to return the first head as it was broken (likely due to over use of force trying to install/correct this issue). I did install the head, however there is a slight gap between wall and fixture due to plumbing - which can't be rectified as it is in-wall and behind newly installed tile. I will fill gap with a matching grout/caulk ... final result is ok ... however not if you are a perfectionist.

The color was also not like any other "oil rubbed bronze" I have ever seen, and was almost a violet in color. Entirely didn't even come close to matching the other oil rubbed hardware I purchased from various manufacturers, which matched within a tolerable range.
Returned the item.

(More customer reviews)I was thinking from the price that this would be a fairly sturdy product. In all fairness the water supply and shut offs were metal with very nice finish. The shower heads however were a huge disappointment!
The shower heads are all plastic and function very poorly even after the 2.5 gpm restrictors have been removed. I can't even get decient water flow when I turn off one of the heads and they're a joke to try and adjust. I felt better about my lego houses chances of staying together. Although the metal part are nice and heavy they also have their issues. They are threaded in a way that make it virtually impossible to get them to land tight where you want them tight which means they tend to loosen in your hand when you go to adjust the heads.
I called and asked about returning the product but was told there would be a 25% restock fee (seemed a little high to me) so I guess I'll just keep them until I can find a better product. Another shame on me lesson! Never buy anything without reading a review first. You may not get the "new" item but you'll get burned less and your moneys worth more often.
The seller did get them right out to me and they were packaged nicely. Will I buy from them again? Not any product that I want to get water out of that's for sure!
