(More customer reviews)The first time I ordered one of these, I loved the full body spray pattern. It's really luxurious.
However the water pressure when limited to 2.5gpm is not sufficient to provide a good shower given the fact that this thing has 72 sprays. There was no obvious way to remove the 2.5gpm flow restrictor, and when I called Kohler, they said it was fixed and couldn't be removed, so I sent it back.
I then did some research, and figured out how to solve the problem. You can remove the water filter (metal gauze with black ring around it), then you will see the permanent water filter (a green disk). You can then take a power drill and drill through the green disk to create a free flow of water. Use a vacuum to make sure you get all the debris out to prevent it clogging the head.
After this modification, I tried the shower head and the spray was stronger. The shower now was one of the best I have had, and certainly the strongest given the water pressure in most modern houses.
After modification - this shower head delivers, a strong, luxurious and full body spray that will leave you satisfied. A great product, that requires small modfication due to our big brother government.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my mom as an early Christmas present. This not only looks nice, all the functions works great too. We like to have both showerheads on at the same time. The water pressure is good with both. I know a lot of showerheads have fancy functions (like misty spray, massage spray, and etc) but I picked this one because we just like the regular saturating spray. The brushed nickel finish looks nice with any decor. The handheld also fits really well with our hands. I will definitely replace my other bathroom with this shower combo system as well.

We're a little disappointed that most of the surface of the handles are polished, with brushed highlights, but all the remaining parts are just what we wanted. Installing this kit will certainly be much easier than replacing the faucets themselves.

We're on a well, so hard water is ever present. This unit replaced one I bought at a home improvement center that only lasted about 6 months before it got all clogged up. Because of our water pressure, we only use the one setting, but it's a good product.
Update: After 3 years, it is starting to fail. However, I'm buying the same model to replace it.

(More customer reviews)I was horrified when our contractor installed this (and the tub spout) and I realized the top and bottom pieces of the slide bar, and the slider, and the entire tub spout were PLASTIC (in the oil-rubbed bronze finish - I don't know if the same is true of the other finishes). Not only that, but a single screw mounts each end of the bar and ours was very wobbly. I couldn't live with it and we've replaced it with Moen (all metal).

Important note: before buying be sure to find out if you have a 'posi-temp' or 'Moentrol' valve if the valve in the wall already exists (you cannot swap handles between these two valve types). The finish is standard/nice though the polished brass back-plates are cheap plastic. On the upside Moen without question earns TOP STARS for phone support and customer service.

(More customer reviews)To give the pros first. As a 5ft hose it is fine. It's flexable and the fittings are solid. The finish is bright and sturdy and I believe it would last. It's better made than many of the 60" hoses near the same price.
Cons. It does stretch, but not nearly to the extent advertised. I get about 10-12" Maximum. That's wrapping it around my back and giving it the effort it would take to do a push up. I would compare it to trying to stretch a heavy duty bike inner tube. Putting that much pressure to stretch it that far on your shower plumbing would probably damage the shower.
If you need a longer than 60" hose, buy one that is longer.

(More customer reviews)I bought this as a replacement for a Alsons White Plastic 4002 Pin Mount after calling Alsons Support Line and being told all Alsons Pin Mounts were interchangeable. They are not!!!! The metal tail piece on this all metal version will not slip over the existing pin. Fortunately I also bought a plastic tail piece as well to replace my existing broken plastic tail piece. It lasted about 6 years. The tail piece mounting pins also are not interchangeable so I could not use the plastic tail piece on the all chrome Pin Mount. I also replaced the shower head and hose at the same time and everything else worked fine.
